香橙戚风蛋糕 Orange Chiffon Cake

Specially for you, aunty. Hope u like this!





Ingredients (A):
75g Self raising Flour (sifted)
4 Egg Yolks
30g Castor Sugar
1/2 tbsp Orange Peel
40ml orange juice
3tbsp Corn Oil

Ingredients (B):
4 Egg Whites
50g Castor Sugar
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar

Method :
1. Mix all ingredients A evenly using a hand mixer.
2. Beat all ingredients B until frothy and stiff peaks form.
3. Fold ingredients B into A and pour the batter into a 9" tube pan.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 160  ̊C until light yellow (about 20min) and increase to 170  ̊C until cooked (about another 20min).
5. Remove from oven, invert cake onto table until completely cooled.

  1. Nope, mine one very successful during my first attempt wor. I place my cake in the lowest level of the oven since it will raise really high ! Why? Yours one burn huh?

  2. yeah, burn...may be i should try to put in at the lowest level. In fact i haven't try orange cos my uncle prefer pandan...
