Ham & Onion Quiche


Pastry Ingredients :
140g Plain flour
70g Cold butter (cut into cubes)
3tbsp Cold Water

Filling Ingredients :
100g Ham (cut into stripes)
1 Large Onion (shredded)
2 Eggs (beaten)
1 cup of Milk
1tsp Chopped garlic
Pinch of salt
Shredded Pizza Topping

Method :
1. Sift flour into a bowl, rub in cold butter and cold water, knead till smooth.
2. Covered and keep in freezer for 15min.
3. Roll pastry in between a plastic sheet, large enough to line deep to cover a 8" baking tray.
4. Lightly pass rolling pin over edge to remove excess pastry.
5. Prick the bottom with a fork and cover pastry with aluminum foil, fill with dried beans and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ̊C  for 25min.
6. Fry onion till soft and add in ham stripes. Spread it over the cooked pastry.
7. Combine egg, milk, garlic and salt. Pour it over the filling.
8. Sprinkle shredded pizza topping on top.
9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ̊C for 40min or till golden brown.
